James Linck is one of Detroit’s premier purveyors of pop music and positive vibes. On this newest track, he comes to terms with his inner artist while skipping across a languid beat. Nostalgic synthesizers saunter on as Linck reflects on financial burdens and grapples with existentialism. It isn’t always easy to follow your dreams, and though it takes a lot of sacrifice to achieve creative visions, the payoff of producing great work is a satisfaction unparalleled.
Self-produced with contributions from Ben Bowdon, this track comes as the first taste of Linck’s upcoming album No Future, expected to drop this Fall. But first, check out his show at El Club on August 12th with Bevlove, Tim Schumack and LÜME. More details here.
